Where did the name “Chick Packaging” come from?
In 1870, a man named John F. Chick began providing his customers with first-class packaging services and products. Today, the company bears his name.

Are you a moving company we can hire for individual moving needs?
True, we have packed, shipped, relocated and installed everything from mechanical assemblies, nuclear power plant components, livestock, transformers, computer circuit boards and chips, semiconductors and HAZMAT materials – but our specialty remains in the packaging and relocation of items that require the expertise of specialized packaging and shipping.

What is the cost to do any type of work?
Because everyone’s needs are so different, it’s hard to provide a standard price sheet for our specialized products and services. We highly recommend you contact us at sales@chickpackaging.com. Someone will be in touch quickly who can answers all your questions and provide you with a detailed quote specific to your needs.

How fast can you get it to us?
Once we solidify and agree on your specific needs, we typically ask for 5-7 business days.

Do you have insurance?
Absolutely. We wouldn’t think of handling your important products without it.

Do you have on-site service?
We sure do. As a matter of fact, our teams of professionals that perform quality on-site packing is what often sets us head-and-shoulders above the competition.

What is Method II Packaging?
This process involves making a custom bag from a military specification foil barrier material. This bag creates an airtight environment around your product; no moisture from outside the bag can permeate into the bag.  Also included in the bag are pouches of desiccant (a moisture absorbing material). It will absorbs any moisture in the air that is trapped inside the bag.  The product can then be shipped into areas, with a high humidity content (Ocean freight, Asian countries, etc…) with out incurring any moisture-related damage such as rust, corrosion and mildew.

Is the lumber capable of being shipped to countries with strict import specifications?
All the lumber we use has been heat-treated and stamped. We can provide confirmation of that with a heat-treated certificate.
