Large and small machinery that needs to have surface protection and handling support are export packed. These boxes can be lined with waterproof paper containing asphalt or the machine are draped with plastic sheeting or both. Construction of the machine as well as the weight and length of storage time determine how the machinery will be packed. Areas that can rust or corrode can be coated with contact preservatives. Control panels can be protected by placing desiccant inside and sealing openings.
