Automating procedures is an essential part of materials management. And, to meet today’s needs with the ability to expand tomorrow, Chick Packaging assembled a computer system that operates on multiple platforms. This allows greater flexibility to use custom programs written for the packaging industry.

An industry-specific system guarantees that the customer receives the correct products accompanied by a detailed packing list for each box and container, identifying their contents. Chick’s own materials management computer system provides, among other features, bar-code identification and detailed “in-process” tracking.

This program enables all phases of the project to be monitored by our project coordinators. It also allows our customers to dial directly into our system and view the status of their projects real time. The system is modular in nature and covers purchase order entry, receiving, checking, material receipt, release to pack, pull to pack, packing marking release to deliver and delivery.

Kitting Services
Chick has served numerous clients as their demand center for consolidation of kit parts or pick-and-pack services. Parts can be verified by box marking quantities or 100 percent inspection. In the event of shortages, we will contact your vendors directly. If visual damage or identification is a problem, we will e-mail digital photos for clarification.

Warehouse Services
Throughout our locations across the United States, Chick has a combined storage capacity of more than 600,000 square feet. Additionally, we can ship off either coast. Our strategic locations have our warehouse spaces minutes away from airports, railroads, major ports and interstates.
