Flat Racking

Most ship lines offer flat rack containers for items that are too large to fit into standard ocean containers. It takes a great amount of experience to properly load/block/brace and secure these oversized and overweight items to the flat rack container. Lashing materials include steel strap, steel cable and turnbuckles, steel chain and binders, polyester strap with buckles, or nylon straps with ratchets - dependant on the requirements of the steamship line or marine surveyor.
